Double Overhead. That's my surf name, brah. That's what the friendly humans I met at the beach today christened me. Way cool dudes. Sistahs were totally nectar. Surf was fully macking double overhead corduroy to the horizon. Epic. Passed on the fish tacos at the local food hut, but I am definately going to double down on the Acacia leaves tonight. Latronic.

Proving It Can Be Done
This dude's name is Geoffrey. He has done very well living among the humans. He has literally made millions selling painted plastic to humans to give their young. Do you realize how many Acacia Trees that would buy? Not only does he have 4 stores here in the San Diego area, he's gone nation wide. I'm gonna friend him on Facebook. Never hurts to start networking.
Million Giraffe March
Wow. Apparently a human created this web site to prove to his doubtful friend Jergen that he could collect one million Giraffes by 2011. One Million? Really? Well, it's nice to see a human take on such a worthy and important project. Visit the One Million Giraffes web site to see how he's doing, read his blog, and find out how you can contribute a Giraffe. As long as it isn't me.
Electric Giraffe
Can you say Frankenstein? This Electric Giraffe also goes by the street name Rave Raffe. According to his website, Raffe "is a shy, nocturnal creature of the Playa. It can sometimes be found roaming the streets of suburbia where it elicits awe amongst the spectators. Native of Southern California, the 'Raffe can sometimes be coaxed further afield for special occasions." Well, if this Terminator can freely roam the streets of So Cal without causing a stampede, I should have no problem maintaining my low prof street existence among the humans, hidden as it were, in plain site.
I Saw a Human Doing This
Check this out. Is this not the coolest thing? My first thought was, "Aw. Poor human trying to look tall." Then I watched him for a while. I have totally got to get one of these. Consider it added to my bucket list.

Looks Closed, But It's Not
Found this window on my second night in town wandering down some random narrow street in search of Acacia trees. Yum. My favorite food. (Typically get most of my water this way. I need up to 10 gallons a day!) The window is the one on the left. It was lit and caught my attention (hey, I'm tall.) I only meant to look through it, but when I pressed my nose against the glass, it slid up. :) And where did this magic window lead me? Second floor of a city library, with access to an internet ready computer and, if I stretch, a good chunk of the six rowed book shelves near the window nook. Microbiology mostly. Huzzah! Now, being the world's tallest land animal, you might not think this, but I have always been fascinated by microbiology - the invisible cosmos of creatures who roam the savannas hidden on the surface of a fallen leaf. I've already checked out D. Roy Cullimore's Practical Manual of Groundwater Microbiology. Gotta know what you're drinking. AND - I started this blog. Made sure to close the window, but not all the way . . . Great night!
